Dr. Lefteris G. Gortzis is Chief Scientific Manager and founder of SYSTSERV company. He is also a teaching fellow (Robotics in Medicine Theory) at the Surgical Sector, School of Medicine University of Patras, Greece.
He has been elected as a Senior member of IEEE in the field of medical sciences (New York, USA, 2007)
He holds B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD degrees in Medical Physics and Medical Informatics. His PhD thesis was under the title ''Design Methodologies for Supporting Telediagnostic and Telesurgical Services Over Web''.
His publication record includes five monographs, one book (Greek Version), four chapters and 40 articles in peer-reviewed Journals and Conference proceedings in the field of medical informatics.
